Ensuring gender and social inclusion are critical for reducing poverty and achieving sustainable development outcomes. Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation Strategy 2013-2017, “Together for a Better World” states the importance of continuous institutional and technical capacity building of its partners. Thus, as part of Helvetas Bhutan’s support to Bhutan, this gender and social inclusion course has been developed specifically for CSOs to ensure that development in Bhutan continues to be inclusive, equal and ensures no one is left behind.

The course runs for 5 days (with four hours each day) and is designed to enhance capacity of the CSO representatives starting from the basics of gender and social inclusion (GSI), relevant policies and legislations – both national and international, use of tools and resources  with plenty opportunity to exercise and role play quiz  sessions.

The course is aimed at CSO representatives who are interested and committed to ensure GSI both within their organisations and in their programmes.
